Overview

Beacon Centers transform public schools into youth and family centers that become a beacon of activity for the surrounding neighborhood. The Marina Beacon Center is a partnership with the Presidio YMCA.

Marina Beacon Center supports Marina students and families through family engagement activities, lunchtime enrichment, health and wellness programs, an afterschool program and summer programming that includes Power Scholars Academy.

Strategic Partnerships

The Marina Beacon Center relies on strategic and coordinated partnerships in order to provide a wider range of supports for students. Our current partners include Street Soccer USA, the Movemeant Foundation, San Francisco Unified School District’s (SFUSD) Youth Health Outreach Program, YBikeEarth Service Corps, Presidio YMCA Aquatics, and YRangers

Family Hike:

Join us for our Family Hike, happening on Saturday, April 13th from 11am - 1pm .

There will be prizes and a presentation about keeping our beaches clean!

We will be meeting at the Land's End parking lot (2599 El Camino Del Mar) and hiking part of the Land's End Trail (about 2 miles total).
